In a move that might signal the arrival of the inaugural Women’s IPL, some of the finest female cricketers in the world will feature in the Women’s T20 Challenge ahead of the IPL 2018 qualifier between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium.
The Women’s T20 Challenge will take place on May 22 and will be telecast live. The match that will see Indian stars, Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur captain of the two sides, will also feature several T20 stars from Australia, New Zealand and England.

Mandana doesn’t need any introduction. The young left-hander was a prodigy when at just eleven, she competed for a spot in the under-19 team. Four years later, she came into the senior team. Her ability to give brisk starts to the team made her a regular into the team. Only the second Indian player to feature in the WBBL. Coming back from the injury, she is in the form of her life with seven fifties and a 42 in her last ten matches.
India’s go to the bowler. Along with Poonam Yadav, Bisht has rattled the opponent for many years now. Her best year came in 2015 where she destroyed Sri Lanka and her performance includes a hat-trick as well. She was the only one who featured in both ODI, T20I team of the year 2017.
One of the best spinners in the world currently. She picks up wickets every 15 balls in T20Is. Along with Bisht, she cuts the run flow. In 32 T20I matches, she picked up 43 wickets.
