Shikhar Dhawan became the latest inductee in the ‘suspect bowling action’ category list by the ICC. The left-handed batsmen was reported by the match officials during the recently concluded fourth Test against South Africa. The match officials have expressed concerns about the legality of Dhawan’s off-spin deliveries.
With that said, Dhawan is not the only bowler to join the list of spinners but here are other top five notable bowlers that the ICC have reprimanded for over the years.
West Indies off-spinner Sunil Narine was reported for a suspect bowling action during final ODI against Sri Lanka on November 7th 2015. According to the report, Narine exceeded the 15 degrees level of tolerance permitted under the regulations. This was not the first time Narine was caught for suspect action, he was reported during last years’s IPL as well as during the CLT20.
