Over 45 West Indies 149/10/Yes

So that's it from us for this game. Afghanistan have scripted a famous victory against West Indies and they have taken the initial lead in the 3-match ODI series. The hosts will look to bounce back as they take them on again in the second game at the same venue on 11th June at 1430 local (1830 GMT). Join us for it. Until then, cheers and goodbye!
Man of the Match, Rashid Khan thanks the Almighty for his performance. Adds that after losing three T20I games, it was great to come back in such a manner. Feels that the wicket was not that good for the batsmen for scoring quick runs. Adds that their bowlers bowled good lines and lengths which made it difficult for the batsmen. Announces that he practices well in the nets with the coaching staff and thankfully the results are showing on the field. Ends by dedicating this victory to the victims of the Kabul attack. Wishes that this win will bring happiness to his nation and ends by saying that they want to keep winning games.
Afghanistan skipper, Asghar Stanikzai thanks the almighty for the victory. Reckons that it is a really good day for them as they won their first game of the tour. Mentions that the target was good enough as he trusted his bowlers to defend it. Adds that they are looking forward to play positive cricket in the upcoming games. Credits Rashid Khan for his brilliant spell and proving what a brilliant talent he is.
West Indies skipper, Jason Holder says that they were not good enough. Feels that they lacked energy and were lethargic. Mentions that the intent was missing when they came out to bat. Further adds that they were 20 odd after first 10 overs and didn't get any sort of momentum and opines that it is not acceptable at all. Reckons that it is a wake-up call for them and they need to work harder. Further adds that they need to be professional in the coming games. Ends by saying that they were not good enough today.
Earlier in the day, Afghanistan opted to bat first and some heroics from Gulbadin Naib and Afsar Ahmadi helped them cross the 200-run mark after a really shabby start to the game. The decision to bat first worked well for them as the outfield got slower in the later part of the game. Stay tuned for the presentation.
A fantastic performance by Afghanistan with the ball has handed them a 1-0 lead in the 3-match ODI series against West Indies. After posting a decent total on the board, they needed to start really well with the ball. Dawlat Zadran and Mohammad Nabi did not disappoint as they kept the pressure on the batsmen who could hardly score any runs. None of the West Indian batsman except Shai Hope looked comfortable in the middle. But once Rashid Khan arrived, he totally changed the course of the game.

Slips in the googly on middle, spins away slightly. Cummins fails to read it, gets beaten on the defense and the furniture behind him gets shattered. A dismal performance from the Windies.
