Over 14 Afghanistan 93/10/Yes

2 matches, 2 one-sided victories. Will it be any different in the third? West Indies have looked a far better side than Afghanistan and will be aiming for a clean sweep in the final T20I. The visitors, on the other hand, will hope for a consolation win and stave off some respect. Join us on Monday, June 5, 2017, from this same venue, at 1930 local (2330 GMT) for all the action from the third and final T20I. Till then, you can catch all the action from the Champions Trophy. Adios! Take Care!
KESRICK WILLIAMS has been named the MAN OF THE MATCH for his 3/11 in 2.3 overs. Says that when you put in a lot of hard work, it feels good to see yourself doing well for your team. Adds that he just executed what his captain asked of him. Feels that it is not a great challenge, to just execute what your skipper asks you to. But he does admit that it is a great challenge to bowl well in T20s which is not a bowler-friendly format.
Victorious West Indian captain, CARLOS BRATHWAITE says that it is always a good feeling to win a series, no matter who is the opposition. Feels that the conditions were difficult to bat, especially with the intermittent weather. Was confident of the game resuming irrespective of how long it rained. Says that he had told his team to expect play anytime once the rain stopped. Is proud of the way his team played tonight.
Another dejecting batting display from Afghanistan. They tend to panic if they play out a few dot balls and lead to self-destruction. They were unable to read Badree early on and got consumed by the increasing required rate. If they had not thrown away their wickets, then maybe, given the firepower they posses, they could have chased it down. Just three double figures in the innings. Stay tuned for the presentation.
Every bowler got a wicket with Williams being the pick, taking 3 wickets. Brathwaite was excellent again, with a 2-fer. Narine had a rare off evening.
123 in 15 overs looked possible, especially for an Afghan side which bats so deep. But losing wickets at regular intervals never made things easy. The shot selection was not the best, neither was the running between the wickets. Credit to West Indies - they bowled with pace and accuracy and rarely gave bad balls, inducing constant pressure.
Another clinical display from the Windies. Wonder why they cannot pull off such performances with more consistency against top nations. They have blown off Afghanistan twice in 2 games, looking ever so dominant.
13.3
K Williams to K Janat, OUT! A series victory for West Indies. A full ball outside off, Janat looks to go big down the ground but gets more height than distance. Carlos Brathwaite takes a few steps to his right from mid off and takes it calmly. WEST INDIES WIN BY 29 RUNS (DLS METHOD) AND TAKE AN UNASSAILABLE 2-0 SERIES LEAD.
13.2
K Williams to K Janat, Oh wow... full and on the pads, Karim gets down and across and attempts a lovely flick. The shot looks beautiful, except that he is beaten by the change in pace and is months early into the shot. The ball hits the back of the bat and lobs behind the keeper. Two runs taken.
13.1
K Williams to A Hamza, On a good length outside off, Hamza hops and pushes it straight to point. The fielder charges to the ball but decides not to throw as there is no one backing up at either end. A single allowed to be taken.

Over 13 Afghanistan 90/9/No

KESRICK WILLIAMS to bowl out. Can he finish this innings off?
12.6
J Taylor to K Janat, Full and wide outside off, Janat swings but misses.
12.5
J Taylor to A Hamza, Full and outside off, pushed through the covers for a single.
12.4
J Taylor to A Hamza, Almost the end of the match. Amir taps this to the off side and sets off for a suicidal run, before being sent back by his partner at the right time. Taylor gets to the ball and has a shy at the striker's end but misses.
12.3
J Taylor to A Hamza, FOUR! Not a bad shot for a number 11. On the pads, Hamza gracefully works it behind square leg and beats the fielder from short fine leg.
AMIR HAMZA is the last man in.
12.2
J Taylor to D Zadran, OUT! BOWLED! Excellent bowling. A full delivery, right on middle stump, Dawlat backs away to the leg side and attempts a hit through the off side but the ball swings away slightly, beats the bat and hits the off stump. A perfect delivery to a tail-ender.
12.1
J Taylor to D Zadran, A length ball outside off, Dawlat backs away and carves this over cover. Long off gets around and keeps the batsmen to a couple.

Over 12 Afghanistan 83/8/No

JEROME TAYLOR is back on.
11.6
C Brathwaite to K Janat, SIX.
11.5
C Brathwaite to K Janat, MISFIELD, FOUR! Full on middle, Janat works it wide of long on. Substitute Jonathan Carter, who is on the field for Samuel Badree, does well to cover good ground to his right, gets to the ball, puts in the slide but then messes it up as the ball goes off his legs to the fence.
11.4
C Brathwaite to D Zadran, A short ball on middle, Dawlat swings but gets a top edge. The bowler cannot get to it and the result is a single.
11.3
C Brathwaite to K Janat, A fine yorker on middle, pushed to the leg side for a single.
11.2
C Brathwaite to K Janat, SIX! ADMONISHED! This is short and outside off, Janat gets across and pulls it massively over square leg for a maximum.
11.1
C Brathwaite to K Janat, A length ball outside off, angling in, Janat swings hard but misses. The ball just whizzes over the stumps. Brathwaite starts to celebrate, thinking it is a wicket, before realizing the actual event.

10.6
S Narine to D Zadran, 4 Byes.
10.5
S Narine to D Zadran, SIX! Fine shot. Full and outside off, Dawlat comes forward and just lofts this through the line, high and handsome over long off.
DAWLAT ZADRAN walks in at number 10, replacing Rashid.
10.4
S Narine to R Khan, OUT! Another one chops it on. Landed outside off, Rashid goes back to punch the ball through the covers but the ball comes ever so slowly off the surface, keeps a bit low, takes the bottom edge and disturbs the stumps.
10.3
S Narine to R Khan, Full and outside off, Rashid looks to sweep but misses and is hit on the pads. There is a mild LBW appeal but the impact is outside off.
10.2
S Narine to K Janat, That ball has taken the inside edge onto the pads. One run added to the total.
10.1
S Narine to R Khan, Outside off, pushed towards point for a single.

RASHID KHAN walks in at number 9, replacing Najibullah.
9.2
C Brathwaite to N Zadran, OUT! Drags it back on! On a good length outside off, Najibullah gives himself room to the leg side and attempts a shot through the off side but can only chop the ball onto the stumps. The ball came slowly off the pitch there. Second wicket for the skipper.
9.1
C Brathwaite to N Zadran, A short ball around off, pulled straight to short mid-wicket.
