Over 20 Delhi Daredevils 195/3/No

Rightly so, Jason Roy is the Player of the Match. He just took the chase by the scruff of the neck and largely looked untroubled. So, that's it from us from this game, but don't you go anywhere. The second game of this Super Saturday is about to get underway. Hyderabad will field first against Kolkata. It's something you wouldn't want to miss. Switch tabs to follow that game. See ya there!
Glenn Maxwell could do nothing more than hit a six and a four. But Shreyas Iyer then stayed till the end to ensure his side's win. Not to forget the two lives that he got, courtesy Mustafizur Rahman, who dropped two catches in succession. Mumbai used as many as 6 bowlers. This is a game where Mayank Markande, the leggie was taken for aplenty. That put his side off a bit and they couldn't really have any control even through Krunal Pandya's quick blows seemed to have brought the game in their favor. Rahman and Jasprit Bumrah also bowled economical spells but couldn't translate into a win for them.
In a run chase, it is important to start well and be abreast with the required run rate. Delhi did just that. They had the partnerships going even though only one batter really batted through. Gautam Gambhir stuttered and struggled his way in the middle in his stay. After he threw his wicket away, Rishabh Pant played some scintillating strokes to keep his side in the hunt. He missed his fifty by a mere 3 runs.
Ooooofff! Another day, another thriller! The Indian T20 League is making a habit of displaying close games, entertaining the fans apart from tiring our fingers. Mumbai will admit at the end of the day that they were outplayed by a certain Jason Roy. The English opener carried his bat through the innings to see his side through, thereby bringing up his first fifty in the League.
19.6
M Rahman to J Roy, DELHI WIN! What an anticlimax! Mind you, the winning run wasn't in the most convincing manner. Rahman yet again lets out a slower length ball, Roy swishes across the line. Gets a top edge. But since most of the fielders are inside the circle, the ball clears mid off running backwards. That enables the batters to cross and hug each other in celebration. So, the away team gets off the mark in this tournament. They win by 7 wickets.
1 needed from 1! Super Over anybody?
19.5
M Rahman to J Roy, DOT! On a length angling away, Roy looks to guide it away through short third man. Seems to have missed it as the ball goes to the keeper. They appeal to no avail. DRS used. Snicko shows nothing as there is a gap between bat and ball. Hence, Roy stays on.
WOAH! DRAMA! Review time! There is a caught behind appeal against Roy. Not given, hence, taken upstairs.
19.4
M Rahman to J Roy, Another one! Slower and fuller outside off, Roy just cannot get bat to that. Misses. Do Mumbai and Rahman have it in them to defend this?
19.3
M Rahman to J Roy, Well bowled! Slower in pace, Roy goes through with his pull before the ball comes to him. Where was this ball before, asks Simon Doull on air. That secret will go unanswered, sir.
19.2
M Rahman to J Roy, SIX! Game, set, match! Jason Roy has done it on his own. Rahman lets out a length ball in line of the stumps. Roy walks across and helps it over the fine leg fence for half a dozen. Wow!
19.1
M Rahman to J Roy, Knock FOUR off the target! This is bowled full and angled away from Roy. He reaches out and carves it over extra covers for a boundary. 7 needed from 5 balls.

Over 19 Delhi Daredevils 184/3/No

11 needed from 6. Have Mumbai learnt from their previous experiences? Can they end up on the right side of the result? This is their third close finish on the trot. Mustafizur Rahman will bowl the final one. Fine leg is dropping back now. Square leg comes inside the circle.
18.6
J Bumrah to S Iyer, Bumrah ends well! Another slower delivery well outside off, Iyer can do nothing about that.
18.5
J Bumrah to S Iyer, Very full outside off, it was a slower one. Iyer reaches out to guide it through point but misses. Jasprit asks the umpire for a caught behind but gets a shake of head in response.
18.4
J Bumrah to J Roy, Very full on off, smashed down to long off for one.
18.3
J Bumrah to J Roy, Roy is riding his luck now. He was outfoxed by Bumrah's slower one. Looked to sweep it but got a top edge. The ball landed in the no man's land behind the bowler, enabling them to collect two. 12 off 9 needed.
18.2
J Bumrah to S Iyer, Bumrah escapes this times. Bowls a juicy full toss but Iyer hits it straight to deep mid-wicket for just one.
18.1
J Bumrah to J Roy, Slower delivery at a fuller length, Roy carves it through point for one.

Over 18 Delhi Daredevils 179/3/No

17.6
M Rahman to S Iyer, FOUR! Nice way to end the over! Iyer is making Mumbai pay now. Short in length yet again, he stays back and pulls it. Bisects the gap between deep square leg and deep mid-wicket and gets a boundary. 16 needed off the last two overs.
17.5
M Rahman to S Iyer, Another length ball outside off, Shreyas misses out on the pull yet again.
17.4
M Rahman to S Iyer, Slashed hard through point for a couple.
17.3
M Rahman to S Iyer, Short length ball, Iyer misses the pull.
17.2
M Rahman to J Roy, An appeal, turned down! Roy gets across to paddle it away but seems to have missed it. The ball rolls of his pads towards short fine leg. Rahman appeals as the batters cross. The umpire stays unmoved. In the interim, Bumrah takes the ball and fires a throw to the bowler's end. There's noone backing up there but an extra run doesn't result from the overthrow. Hawk Eye shows the ball to be pitching outside leg.
17.1
M Rahman to S Iyer, Defended off the front foot by the batsman presenting the full face of the bat. One run added to the total.

Over 17 Delhi Daredevils 171/3/No

After dropping two catches, Mustafizur Rahman is brought back to bowl.
16.6
J Bumrah to J Roy, No run.
16.5
J Bumrah to S Iyer, Would you believe it? Another dropped chance and it's Rahman the culprit yet again! Iyer looks to slash this. Gets a thick outside edge to short third man again. The Fizz dives to his right but fails to hold on again. A run taken.
16.4
J Bumrah to S Iyer, FOUR! Another one. Short in length outside off, Iyer camps back and cuts it fiercely. Makes good contact and earns a boundary.
16.3
J Bumrah to J Roy, Full on off, driven to long off for one.
16.2
J Bumrah to J Roy, FOUR! Length ball angling in, Roy stands tall and pulls it over mid-wicket for a boundary.
16.1
J Bumrah to S Iyer, DROPPED! On a length outside off, Iyer looks to cut it but gets a thick outside edge. The ball carries towards Rahman at short third man, who puts in the dive but fails to hold on. Concedes a run. This could have changed the momentum, but it's not to be.

Over 16 Delhi Daredevils 160/3/No

Strategic break taken! After all the runs that they conceded, their run chase has been perfectly paced. As a result, Delhi find themselves just 35 runs adrift the target. They have 24 balls to get there. Will they?
15.6
K Pandya to S Iyer, Worked away through mid-wicket for one.
15.5
K Pandya to S Iyer, Loopy ball around middle and leg, Iyer looks to smash it over the leg side but misses. The ball goes off his pads to the on side.
15.4
K Pandya to S Iyer, FOUR! Not good from Rahul Chahar the sub. Flatter outside off at a quicker pace, Iyer stays back and cuts it through point. Should have been two at the most but the fielder in the deep fails to stop it cleanly. Concedes a boundary.
15.3
K Pandya to J Roy, Driven through mid off by the batsman. They pick up a single.
15.2
K Pandya to J Roy, SIX! Humongous strike that! Floated up outside off, Roy gets down the track to strike it big. Is nowhere near the ball, yet he goes through with the shot. The ball goes high up in the air and lands behind the sightscreen.
15.1
K Pandya to J Roy, A low full toss outside off, hit straight to covers. Won't please Roy.
