Over 19 Sunrisers Hyderabad 139/5/No

That's all we have for today! Earlier in the day, Delhi chased down a huge total to defeat Mumbai at the Wankhede and then Hyderabad defeated Kolkata at the Eden Gardens. So, both the teams hosting the game lost today. How often do you see that? Something that will keep you thinking. On that note, we take your leave. Do join us on Sunday for another doubleheader. First game is between Bangalore and Rajasthan at 1600 IST and then later Punjab will face Chennai at 2000 IST. Until then, goodbye and cheers!
Things once again got heated up towards the end as both the set batsmen perished but Hooda and Pathan made sure that they don't repeat the same mistake that the committed against Mumbai in the last game. Both hung in there and safely saw their side cross the finish line with a over to spare.
Kolkata's other spinners then came to the fore. They not only slowed things down but also picked up a couple of wickets in the process to keep the match in balance. However, Williamson kept a cool head and took matter in his hands. He was happy to milk singles and doubles and then stroked some boundaries to dictate terms. He got an able partner in Shakib as the duo nurtured along and strung 59 runs together to bring the equation down to run-a-ball.
And Hyderabad seal their first ever win at the Eden Gardens. But what would please them even more will be - it's their third win on the trot this season and surely they have kicked their campaign off in a grand manner. After yet another clinical show from their bowlers, a different sight was witnessed in the run chase. It was Wriddhiman Saha who got them off to a flying start but perished soon after Narine was introduced. The West Indian struck twice inside the Powerplay to stem the run flow.
18.6
A Russell to Y Pathan, SIX! Yusuf Pathan, the ex-Kolkata player has silenced the Eden Gardens here. Gets a hug and a pat from Russell and the customary handshakes follow. Russell with another short one on middle, Yusuf goes for the pull but gets it off the top edge. Still good enough connection to end the game with a maximum over deep backward square leg. A 5-WICKET VICTORY FOR HYDERABAD!
18.5
A Russell to D Hooda, Clips one through mid-wicket and takes a single.
18.4
A Russell to Y Pathan, Pathan jams out a yorker and Hooda is quick to cross for a single.
18.3
A Russell to Y Pathan, FOUR! Up and over Lynn at extra cover! On a length and outside off, Pathan looks to punch it on the up. Didn't time it well but has enough to clear a leaping Chris Lynn at extra cover. More importantly for his side, it then goes to the fence. Happy faces in the Hyderabad dugout.
18.2
A Russell to D Hooda, Fuller outside off, driven through cover for a single.
18.1
A Russell to D Hooda, Short delivery outside off, Hooda tries to pull that one but failed to connect it.

Over 18 Sunrisers Hyderabad 124/5/No

Andre Russell will bowl the penultimate over.
17.6
M Johnson to Y Pathan, Short of a length delivery outside off, a flat-bat punch wide of long off will give Yusuf two. 13 required off 12 balls.
17.5
M Johnson to Y Pathan, FOUR! Yusuf Pathan drills one! Releases all the pressure that was applied on the previous four balls. Mitchell goes fuller outside off, Pathan nails the drive through extra cover. Finds the gap and he doesn't even bother running.
17.5
M Johnson to Y Pathan, Wide! Johnson pounds in a short ball on middle and leg and it sails over the head of Pathan. Called as a wide.
17.4
M Johnson to Y Pathan, Back of a length delivery on middle and leg, clipped towards square leg where Russell dives and stops. They are not risking the single here.
17.3
M Johnson to Y Pathan, Yusuf Pathan stays put inside the crease and defends it back down the track.
17.2
M Johnson to K Williamson, OUT! Straight to Russell! Kane Williamson is gone. Is there a twist in the tale now? This surely must have shaken the Hyderabad dugout. Good length delivery, at 134.1 kph, Williamson walks across and tries to clip it away. All he manages is to hand a simple catch to Russell at square leg. Kolkata breathe a sigh of relief because they would feel they can turn it around from there as well. Can they?
17.1
M Johnson to D Hooda, Good length delivery on middle and leg, worked through square leg for a single.

Over 17 Sunrisers Hyderabad 118/4/No

Johnson to bowl.
16.6
S Narine to D Hooda, 1 run.
16.5
S Narine to K Williamson, Fifty for Kane Williamson, his 4th in the League! Has played sensibly and needs to be there to take his team over the line. Gets to the milestone with a punch down to long off. Just a raise of the bat form him as he knows the job isn't done yet.
16.4
S Narine to D Hooda, Outside off, cut through point for a single.
16.3
S Narine to D Hooda, The batsman has defended it by getting right behind the line of the delivery.
16.2
S Narine to D Hooda, Stays back and pushes it away towards point.
16.1
S Narine to K Williamson, Flatter delivery outside off, punched down to long off for a single.

Over 16 Sunrisers Hyderabad 114/4/No

15.6
P Chawla to D Hooda, No run.
Deepak Hooda is the new man in. He was the star for them in the last game.
Strategic break!
15.5
P Chawla to Al Hasan, OUT! There is the wicket Kolkata were searching for! But has it come a bit too late? Or maybe not. Remember, Hyderabad slipped massively from such a position against Mumbai in their last game so the hosts can take a leaf out of that. It's the leg break, on a shorter length as Shakib was giving the charge. Misses it, the ball hits the pads and clatters the stumps behind. The 59-run stand has been broken! 25 needed off 25 balls.
15.4
P Chawla to Al Hasan, Googly again, turning the other away, Shakib makes a bit too much of room and hence fails to get going with the cut shot.
15.3
P Chawla to Al Hasan, Gives it nice flight, lands it outside off, Shakib pushes it away.
15.2
P Chawla to K Williamson, Shimmies down the track and pushes it towards long on, a single again.
15.1
P Chawla to Al Hasan, Tossed up delivery on middle and leg, whipped down to long on for a single.

Over 15 Sunrisers Hyderabad 112/3/No

14.6
S Mavi to Al Hasan, 1 run.
14.5
S Mavi to K Williamson, 1 run.
14.4
S Mavi to K Williamson, On a length and outside off, it stays a bit low, KW goes for the cut but the ball sneaks under his bat and goes on a couple of bounces to the keeper.
14.3
S Mavi to K Williamson, SIX! The 50-run stand is up between the two! The duo has done well to not stutter after a fall of some quick wickets. Shortish delivery, angling down leg, Williamson swivels inside the crease and pulls it over fine leg. A maximum results! The skipper has stood tall. Can he see his side through?
14.2
S Mavi to Al Hasan, From around the wicket to the southpaw, angles in a length delivery but it's a bit too straight. Clipped down to fine leg for a single.
14.1
S Mavi to K Williamson, Starts off with short delivery, creeping in, Kane is hurried by it as he tries the pull shot. Mistimes it over square leg for a single.
