The South Africa bowlers tried hard but it was a pretty low total that they were defending. Morkel and Tahir were the only ones who took a wicket apiece. Rabada was probing with the ball but the Men in Blue saw him through cautiously. Earlier, the top ranked side in the world didn't play like as if they were one. They collapsed to disappoint once again in a knockout. Kudos to the Indian bowlers and fielders for setting up the game nicely and the batsmen lived up to their reputation.
An emphatic show from India and they book their place for the semi-final. The Indian openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma showed intent from the beginning but a poor shot from the latter resulted in his downfall. Dhawan on the other end continued his dream run in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. His was a free flowing knock which kept the crowd thoroughly entertained.
