Over 20 Adelaide Strikers 176/6/No

D'Arcy Short has been named the Man of the Match for his blazing 96 in the first innings. So that is it from us for this game. The Adelaide Strikers have tasted defeat for the first time in this year's Big Bash. Whereas the Hurricanes have now bagged two victories in two games. Join us for another game tomorrow, Brisbane Heat vs Perth Scorchers in Brisbane at 1810 local (0810 GMT). Till then, take care and good bye.
Jofra Archer says it feels great. Informs he asked Bailey to give him the field and he will bowl to it. He backed himself with the short balls as the full balls weren't swinging. Ends by saying he is enjoying his time in the Big Bash.
George Bailey, Hobart skipper, says it was an awesome game. Credits the batting and the bowling. Appreciates Archer as he was bowling with the shorter side on the leg side. Informs he was half an hour late today so he must have had a good sleep. Reckons he was confident about what he was doing. Ends by saying he is pleased to beat the Strikers as they are a good side.
For the Striker's, Jofra Archer was outstanding. He finished off with figures of 4-0-15-3, which was the difference. He was ably supported by Clive Rose who was outstanding in the Powerplay. The rest did take a pounding but D' Arcy Short in the first innings made sure they had a big enough score to defend. We now have George Bailey and Jofra Archer for an interview.
Chasing a big total of 184, the Strikers needed to get off to the best starts possible. It wasn't to be though. They lost early wickets and only managed to score 30 runs in the Powerplay. But then Head, their skipper and Ingram got together and stitched a 102-run partnership in quick time which turned the tide towards the Strikers. After the departure of the two, Wells did play a good cameo but it was never going to be enough as he received no support at the other end.
Another cracking encounter here today! Another last over finish! Take a bow Jofra Archer! The youngster managed to keep his cool and bowl 6 very good deliveries to defend 13 from the last over, to give Adelaide their first loss of this season.
19.6
J Archer to R Khan, Short ball on middle, Khan tries to pull but gets a top edge towards mid-wicket. The bowler gives it a chase, puts in a dive but fails to reach it. An excellent last over comes to an end. Just 5 from it and the HURRICANES WIN BY 7 RUNS!
19.5
J Archer to M Neser, Driven towards the mid off region. One run added to the total. That is it now. They needed a boundary to stay alive in this game. They need 9 from the last ball. Impossible, unless Archer bowls an extra.
19.4
J Archer to R Khan, Fuller in length on off, driven down to long off for a run.
19.3
J Archer to R Khan, In the air...but the ball lands in no man's land. A short ball on middle, Khan goes for the pull but gets a top edge towards mid-wicket for a couple. 11 needed now from 3, very difficult.
Rashid Khan comes out to bat. 13 needed from 4.
19.2
J Archer to M Neser, OUT! Wells is run out. Does that end the hopes of the Strikers chasing this down? Wells had no option but to go for the run. Archer bowls a full ball outside off at 145 kph. Neser is late to get his bat down in time and gets beaten. Wells calls him for a bye. Wade behind the stumps, collects the ball and scores a bull's eye at his end. They appeal and the umpire goes upstairs. Replays show that the batsman is well short.
Wade has scored a direct hit at the striker's end and they have gone upstairs to check. This will be a huge wicket if Wells is short. Wade is pretty confident this time.
Michael Neser walks out to the middle.
19.1
J Archer to J Lehmann, OUT! That is plumb! Archer gets his third! Brilliant bowling by the seamer. He comes around the wicket and bowls a yorker on middle. Lehman walks across and tries to flick but misses to get hit on the boot. The players appeal and the umpire straightaway raises his finger.

T Mills to C Ingram, OUT! GONE! A much needed one for the Hurricanes. It looked like he could have taken the game away form them. Short ball bowled by Milss and Ingram hangs back and pulls it but just to find Archer on the boundary who takes the catch and throws it towards D'Arcy Short as he was tumbling over the boundary rope. Very well bowled by Tymal Mills. Well deserved one.
16.4
