The battle for top four is heating up as Kolkata Knight Riders set to face Rising Pune Supergiant in today’s Indian Premier League match at the Eden Gardens. Kolkata were blown away by a David Warner special in their previous match but until then they were enjoying a good run. They would hope last match is a minor blip in the run up to the playoffs because they can’t afford more losses. Most of their key players are performing well and the biggest plus is the form of their captain Gautam Gambhir. Much is dependent on his good start because Sunil Narine as an opener is not working out anymore.

Rising Pune Supergiant have picked up the momentum at the right time. They have splashed big bucks for Ben Stokes and the all-rounder has been delivering big time for his team. He has already won three Man of the Matches awards. Their bowlers have also come up with decent spells. But Steve Smith and MS Dhoni would hope their side doesn’t fall back to mediocrity again.
